I Heart February

I always get excited for February to roll around for two reasons: romance and sweets. I’m a hopeless romantic when it comes to random love notes, spontaneous getaways, heart shaped sugary treats and little surprises. I recently tried making these conversation cookies, but ended up making an easier version that I thought was prettier anyways—take that Martha. But I have to say, her dough and icing recipe was perfection. I mixed two different tones of pink with this icing color set from Sur La Table, which was my favorite part. I love how shockingly pink they turned out and the subtle color variation.
