When it comes to home design, I’m notoriously drawn to neutrals, light tones, basic whites and beiges. To me it always aids in making a home feel tranquil and calm along with tons of natural light. And it’s an easy color set to play around with and mix new pieces into. However every once in a while I crave a little color pop against the neutrals, which usually happens after spotting some inspiration. Bright magenta has been my latest color obsession. Partly to blame is a favorite bloom at the moment, bougainvillea. I love the paper-like texture of it and the brightness that it brings. Here are some images currently inspiring my bright color kick. 6d2d02250101acf361959e86c44db4aa{ If I could dream up the perfect magenta rug, it would be this one. }0fcea3bee9bdeed869e75f2c1211aba6 { A colorful striped rug + a calming painting. }2a393306fc53727d8f48a1325f6f2799{ A subtle hit of hot pink in a stark white bathroom. }e2d44859fb46c46099b581917ce34b5a{ I digress from magenta, but how great is this lime green pocket door?! }e52f7c4a5f82c6f10585c15cccf3fe0f{ A brightly striped headboard set against all white bedding. }
