{ Bright and ruffled pillows arranged on a neutral colored couch. }
When it comes to home design, I’m notoriously drawn to neutrals, light tones, basic whites and beiges. To me it always aids in making a home feel tranquil and calm along with tons of natural light. And it’s an easy color set to play around with and mix new pieces into. However every once in a while I crave a little color pop against the neutrals, which usually happens after spotting some inspiration. Bright magenta has been my latest color obsession. Partly to blame is a favorite bloom at the moment, bougainvillea. I love the paper-like texture of it and the brightness that it brings. Here are some images currently inspiring my bright color kick. { If I could dream up the perfect magenta rug, it would be this one. } { A colorful striped rug + a calming painting. }{ A subtle hit of hot pink in a stark white bathroom. }{ I digress from magenta, but how great is this lime green pocket door?! }{ A brightly striped headboard set against all white bedding. }
