I’m big on experimenting when it comes to cocktails. I’ll admit to some major fails in the past but (not to brag) have concocted quite the sippers in my time. I’ll use what fruit we have with either rum or tequila on any given “I need a cocktail” kind of day. I recently got a bottle of extra dry Brugal rum and have been loving it with fresh squeezed lemons, limes, herbs and a little sweetener. Here’s my recent slam dunk:
The Lemon Rum Drop: 2 shots of rum, 3 lemons, 2 limes, 2 sprigs of mint, 1 shot of agave nectar and extra large ice cubes. Combine all the ingredients in a shaker, shake and pour. Garnish with mint.
{ For an alternative version, add a splash of Roses Grenadine. }
