When I think about growing up in Santa Barbara a few landmarks stick out in my mind. One of them is a bakery called Xanadu. Just the smell alone takes me back to being a kid and eagerly waiting an after school treat of some sort. Not much has changed at Xanadu except a handful of new neighbors thanks to the center’s mini facelift and newly branded name, the Montecito Country Mart.
Intermix, Kendall Conrad, Malia Mills, Space.NK and Calypso are just a few of my favorites that have taken up shop. Lucky for me my dry cleaners is smack dab in the middle of the mart so it makes for the perfect excuse to peruse the shops, grab lunch and a sweet treat. Here’s a photo diary of my latest visit.{ Kendall Conrad Narcisa bag I’m still dreaming about. }{ Current/Elliott sweatshirt, Jennifer Fisher charm necklace, Paige jeans, Super sunglasses. }{ An impromptu visit with Kendall Conrad. }{ Post shopping tacos at Little Alex’s. A little tip: the rajas tacos are ridiculously good. }{ My arm candy for the day: the Anfa envelope clutch from Popinjay. }{ Mate Gallery, a teeny tiny store that’s a treasure trove for fun art, antiques and vintage clothes. }{ My latest sugary obsession, Rori’s Creamery. The Salted Caramel flavor is life altering, no really you have to try it. }{ Intermix, where I have a running wish list at all times. } { Some current Intermix favorites: Jean-Michael Cazabat heels, Loeffler Randall clutch, Nocturne necklace, Yigal Azrouel scarf and Vita Fede ring. }{ Malia Mills, where I’m currently coveting a bikini, wide brimmed hat and a vacation. }Some other favorite spots not to miss… Calypso St. Barth, Space.NK, James Perse, Panino, Pressed Juicery, Xanadu and Tecolote Book Shop.
