Yesterday I spent most of the day prepping and packing for my trip to New York. Between organizing essentials and trying to decipher if I had enough warm layers, I took a break and flipped on the news. Ugh, more gloomy visuals of what I was diving head first into. Slushy situations and people bundled to the brim. I stopped to question myself for a second as I glanced out the window at blue California skies. Do I really want to do this? It took about two seconds to answer that question as I quickly remembered that magical feeling at NYFW. The one that takes over and reminds me how much I love what I do.

Among the NYFW buzz this year is the Daisy Marc Jacobs Tweet Shop in Soho (462 West Broadway) that I’m excited to visit and see. From February 7th to the 9th you can stop in from 11 am – 7 pm and shop using social media as your currency—no dollars just showing the love on twitter, instagram and facebook—or hang out in the lounge where there will be a photo booth, DJ, food, drinks and nail art. Don’t forget the hashtag: #MJDaisyChain.
