If there’s one thing I’ve learned about attending weddings, maxi dresses always seem to be winners in my book. My reasoning? Nine times out of ten it’s not always a heel friendly situation at least where I live. With so many wineries, ranches and coastal spots to tie the knot, more and more of our friends are opting for that dreamy scenery—translation grass, gravel and other natural terrains. So instead of fighting it and looking silly as I wobble to my seat, I’ve been choosing longer dresses with flats or reliable wedges. Last year I found the perfect dress (seen here) at Intermix. It was long, flowy and overshadowed the fact that I ditched my heels. So this year I went back hoping for another version of my find. Lucky again. I immediately spotted this ALC dress and knew it was the one. Turns out I have a thing for long flowy pleats.
