There are a few routines that never seem to get old no matter what age I am. A summer movie night has always been a must for me since I was kid. Maybe its the appeal of ducking into a cool spot once the heat kicks in or that old school romance of going to an outdoor movie for a date. Just the act makes me smile and simultaneously instigate a craving for my favorite pizza and ice cream joint around the corner from my favorite movie spot, Arlington Theatre—inside its staged like a movie set with a ceiling filled with tiny lights so it looks like a night sky.
Old Navy denim jacket and sneakers, Objects Without Meaning tee, Paige denim shorts, Celine bag and sunglasses (similar), Kelly Wearstler cuff and ring. First stop, Ca Dario Pizzeria my favorite neighborhood pizza joint. The teensy spot has the best atmosphere and even better authentic pizza. The perfect pre-movie dinner.
After a movie I notoriously crave a good scoop of ice cream before heading home. Just a block from Ca’ Dario Pizzeria and The Arlington is a sweet spot called Scoop. The Stracciatella is the best I’ve had next to the real deal from Italy. Photography by Arna Bee
