I love a good monochrome look. You can’t deny that keeping it simple is sometimes the boldest statement one can make. Basic blacks, nude and white have always been my friend when it comes to styling in a monotone fashion, but every once in a while, especially when summer fades into fall, I crave a vibrant shade of red or orange. Normally I’m pretty subtle about my colorful craving and go with elements like coral lips, red heels or a red handbag for my pop of choice—It’s the shy side of me I guess—but thanks to Old Navy I went for the full monty this year after finding the perfect monochrome pairing in a bright poppy hue. My tip: mixing in black seems to ground a monochrome look like this one and make it feel more fall than summer.
