There are moments in life when you just need something extremely cozy to snuggle up in. Yesterday morning I found myself nervously wound up sitting in the hospital waiting room. The reason? Not me yet! But for my best friend who was in labor, just a day past her due date. It’s an incredibly surreal experience having someone so close to you have a baby but even more so when you know it’s going to be you in that room any day now. I’ve been cool and calm about the end of this 9-month road but getting to hug her shortly after it all went down gave me some serious tidal waves of anxious butterflies.

For the rest of the day I felt like I was floating around with my head still stuck in that hospital room, I could barely focus on anything. In an effort to shake my dazed mood Todd took me out to dinner and the first thing I grabbed was my coziest fall coat from Nordstrom. Aside from the fact that it was actually cold for once, just being wrapped up in something cozy and filling up on hot pad thai eased my nerves.
