Last August we finally got around to remodeling our kitchen. It was in dire need of a major facelift and for us it was an important thing to check off our list before our baby arrived. Boy am I glad we got it out of the way. Having a well designed and functioning kitchen makes the world of a difference in an everyday routine.
It all started with a pinterest board where I collected all the ideas I was loving. Then Todd—who flips homes for a living—checked it out and came up with a plan. I was pretty hands off except for these few requests: open shelving (per a picture I found), white cabinets and marble countertops. The rest was pretty much my talented guy at work.
One thing we were determined to achieve was keeping as much off the counter as we could. I found these amazing flatware and knife organizing inserts from Rev-A-Shelf that fit all of our essentials perfectly.
I wish I would have taken better before pictures but here are some shots of the remodel process. Seeing all those flimsy cabinets come down was the best feeling ever.
