Uniform Habits

June 30, 2015

Could I Have ThatDuring my elementary school years I had to wear a uniform. A gray monotone plaid skirt, a white polo shirt and navy sweaters. I hated it at first, then got used to it (especially when they allowed me to shorten my skirt) and in my final years loathed it more than anything. I swore I would never be so boring again. Looking back I now think the plaid was adorable and I would actually wear some version of it again—if only I knew then what I know now. A huge piece of me still loves a classic collar, so when I spotted this amazing dress with the subtle trim I immediately felt a tinge of nostalgia mixed with severe shopping fever. “Two colors? I need them both.”

Side note… I added some highlights to my hair (balayage). A first time ever playing with my hair color. I’ve thought about it for a while so I wasn’t too nervous and have to say I love the way it turned out. And for all my fellow gingers I used every picture of Emma Stone I could find for inspiration—she’s got the greatest color!
