Sweet Throwback

July 10, 2015

Sweet ThrowbackBeing the youngest of four, I trailed behind my siblings 24/7. Everything they did or said I wanted to do too. Most times they were happy to let the “Goose Pie” (my nickname) come along, but some things I was just too little for—i.e. riding in cars with boys. The one thing that didn’t seem to have an age parameter was the sweetest tradition of all: making chocolate chip cookies together and watching a movie. I remember being wildly excited for this to happen, which included sitting on the counter, snacking on runaway chocolate chips, using the mixer, measuring the ingredients, eating a spoonful of dough and waiting/watching them in the oven. To this day I still love the classic dessert more than any other and get flashbacks of good times whenever I whip up a batch. Coffee-Mate’s Toll House® Chocolate Chip flavored creamer is like a bottle of nostalgia for me. While my siblings may be miles away, I think of them every time I get a taste of this favorite. Here are three ways I’ve been incorporating this fun creamer.
Sweet ThrowbackSweet ThrowbackLately, with the heat, I’ve been all about iced coffees in the morning. My trick for a good serving? Extra ice, using Toddy Coffee (cold brewed coffee) and a dose of Coffee-Mate’s Toll House® Chocolate Chip Cookie creamer.
Sweet ThrowbackAs a sweet tooth fanatic, there’s one dessert that I’ve found you can get really creative with. Ice cream sandwiches. There are so many different combinations you can try and ways of presenting it, the options are endless. I went with an open faced version recently and whipped up a chocolate sauce with leftover bittersweet chocolate chips I had. It needed a touch of sweetness so I added some Coffee-Mate’s Toll House® Creamer to the mix and it came out tasting like a s’more.

It’s my favorite routine for filling up on inspiration. If chocolate chip cookies aren’t your thing, you can try Coffe-Mate’s other Sweet Throwback flavors such as Caramel Macchiato or Classic Vanilla to bring a bit of nostalgia into your everyday.
