Nexxus-Salon-New-York-Could-i-have-that-5On a recent trip to New York I had the chance to swing by the Nexxus Salon New York for a consultation and cut with famed hair guru and global creative director, Kevin Mancuso—he’s worked with an impressive list of celebrities… no biggie! I’ve been using (and loving) the products for a few months now so I was giddy to check out the beautiful and incredibly chic salon in Tribeca. My visit started with a one-on-one chat with Kevin who asked me a series of questions using a program he designed to help analyze my hair type and decipher what products it needed. From the texture to the type of climate I live in, every factor was considered when determining the perfect regimen.

The reclined chairs, a scalp massage and the calm ambiance nearly made me dose off. The products used to bring moisture and balance to my locks were Nexxus New York Salon Care Therappe Rebalancing Shampoo, Emergencee Reconstructing Treatment (a treatment you leave in and partially dry before rinsing it out) and Nexxus New York Salon Restoring Conditioner—the same regimen that Christy Brinkley swears by. Nexxus-Salon-New-York-Could-i-have-that-3nexxus-could-i-have-that-salon-visitNexxus-Salon-New-York-Could-i-have-that-12After my wash and treatment Kevin coated my hair with Nexxus New York Salon Care Encapsulate Serum, one of the products he insisted that I take home with me. The first of its kind, this serum returns your hair to its pre-damaged state with beads of protein and nutrients. The result is super silky hair that has a strength and ease to it. What followed was the most meticulous blow out that left my hair utterly perfect. I took a few notes home from watching the pro. The first, applying this mouse on the hair before drying it with a round brush, drying it sections, bottom layer first and using a small (an inch or just over) round brush for pesky baby hairs. After a dry trim I was out the door feeling like a supermodel.
