Three Dots

April 19, 2016

CIHT_4.13.16_001The first few months of being a mom I found myself digging through my drawers for the softest possible tops. I was spending so much time with Elin in my arms snuggled up on my chest that anything too rough or complicated didn’t feel right. That was one of a handful of times I felt like motherhood was shaping my style. Three Dots was one of my go-to’s at this time for über soft, simple essentials and has been a longtime favorite through the years. To celebrate Mother’s Day they created 5 exclusive pieces in an airy pink shade that has become a neutral in my wardrobe, and reminds me of those delicate pink cheeks on Elin. Here are a few ways I’ve been wearing the special collection. See more and read a Q&A I did on motherhood and what my mom has passed on to me, here.

I always have one somewhere in my wardrobe so this one by Three Dots has been a recent favorite. For an everyday (work, errands, hanging around the house) look I throw on a pair of distressed jeans and loafers for a boy meets girl vibe. CIHT_4.5.16_086CIHT_4.5.16_019One thing I’ve learned since becoming a mom, is knowing when to give yourself a break and soak in some adult time. Date nights are key to staying connected with your partner and I always have a little fun getting dolled up for Todd. This sweet number might have made him blush a little. three-dots-m-day-2CIHT_4.5.16_104 CIHT_4.5.16_073When it comes to the weekends, I try my best to slow it down and allow myself to be a bit of a lounge lizard. The Essential short sleeve scoop tee  and Kai pant took me from the couch to brunch, then to the beach and back home for dinner and a movie. It was one of those perfect weekend days.
