Beauty Bag

May 16, 2016

beauty-bag-mayWith Summer drawing nearer I made a promise to myself to add sunscreen into my daily beauty routine. I read somewhere that it’s the single most effective anti-anging treatment you can invest in—no duh right? So why am I not wearing it every day. After some trial and error I settled on a favorite that doesn’t do anything funky or make my skin break out, something I always complained about in the past with sunscreens. Aside from devoting myself to a little SPF ritual, this month has been about cleaning up my skin, keeping it natural and embracing a fuller eye brow. Some new finds that may not ever leave my beauty bag.

Clockwise from top right:

Supergoop City Sunscreen Serum SPF 30—light, non-greasy and adds to a dewy glow I achieve with a Priming Moisturizer from Glossier.

Something you’ll always find in my beauty bag a good makeup remover. These Moisturizing Cleansing Cloths by Pixi are extra soft and don’t dry your skin out. Plus they smell amazing, without being too perfumey.

Kerastase Elixir Ultime Spray Oil has been my latest discovery in the hair department. It adds body, without being too much, tames frizz and leaves my hair soft and manageable. I’ve been spritzing it all over my hair before letting it air dry or using a little before a blow dry.

Something I’ve picked up, part of getting that dewey fresh skinned glow is keeping your skin exfoliated, hydrated and clean. Prestle & Mortal Pure Hyaluronic Serum will do just that. It also contains vitamin E, which makes it an awesome primer before putting on foundation.

Lastly, moving north to the old eye brows. I’ve been letting mine grow a tad fuller and adding this Boy Brow by Glossier for a bolder shape and color. Nothing too crazy, which is why love this product. It’s subtle and natural looking with a teensy bit of color and control.
