Finding good inspiration is the best. Street style shots, textiles (I have a mild addiction to pillows), travel and interior design are my usual sources. Case in point, this chair and pillow planted a seed a few weeks back that left me reaching for all things leopard and velvet. Easily one of my favorite combinations of the moment. The soft, subdued fabric next to the wild print is a contrast I can get with.

Naturally, I’ve been on the hunt for the combo since. So far I’ve only been able to get my hands on this top I found while browsing Nordstrom recently. The contrasting tie added a fun (part rocker) touch that goes with my leather pants like peas and carrots. In some odd way, this bold print quickly becomes a neutral. It goes with almost any color and is a statement with black. Its a classic for the Fall season that never looses its luster.
