The holidays are in full swing, which means its about that time when the calendar starts filling up with parties left and right. Twist my arm, I’ll take any excuse to get dolled up, throw on some cozy layers, sip a little egg nog, sing a favorite Christmas carol and stumble home in my heels. My beauty M.O. when it comes to the holidays is to keep it simple with a semi-bold eye and illuminated cheekbones on top of dewy skin. Here are some tips and tricks for creating the look with a few new discoveries from the Dior Beauty line.  Tip #1: Get a good base in the works. Exfoliate, cleanse and hydrate before applying a primer and foundation. I had a chance to test out the Dior Airflash Spray Foundation and I’m obsessed with it. I had never tried a spray application before and am completely hooked now. It goes on evenly and blends ten times easier. I also loved how it wore throughout the day without rubbing off or making my skin shiny.
Tip #2: Whatever route you take with your foundation, make sure to blend it into your skin and down your neck and ears. The further we get into fall and winter the lighter our skin gets, and before we know it our foundation is slightly off. By blending it super well you’ll avoid any of those embarrassing lines on your jawline or neck. Having the right tools is key. I love this Kabuki brush because it’s thick and works well with the Dior Airflash Spray Foundation.  Tip #3: Use an illuminator or highlighter along the top of your cheekbone from the outer edge of your pupil to your temples. I used the Dior Flash Luminizer and loved the thick brush and creamy consistency. My trick here is to swipe a touch of bronzer just below, blending the two a teensy bit together so it looks like a natural glow. #Tip 4: Lastly dab your lips and cheekbones with a touch of Crème de Rose for an extra dose of dewy-ness.
