Sunset Drive in Wolgan Valley

November 22, 2016

ciht_wolganvalley_104I tried my best when it came to packing for three weeks in Australia and New Zealand, which included just about every weather condition you could imagine from snow to palm trees and sandals. The one piece that seemed to fit into every location was this striped Joie sweater. Thin enough for an evening look at Hayman Island and warm enough for a sunset drive in Wolgan Valley. It also functioned as a perfect layer under my different coats. The detail of the silk shirt peaking through at the top and bottom is actually part of the sweater, a faux layer if you will, which I kind of love. On this particular day we ventured out for a pre dinner, sunset drive for some kangaroo and wombat sightings. This was my favorite part about our visit to the Blue Mountains, the crazy beautiful scenery that surrounded the whole place. They had view decks located at different spots so you could stop have a picnic, or just sit with a cocktail. It was pure magic.

Joie sweater, Citizens of Humanity jeans, Sperry boots, aviators (similar)

These Sperry boots came in handy a majority of the trips as well. I wore them through snow, dirt, rivers, sheep poop (but really so much haha) and rocky coasts.
