Travel Bug Tuesday: A Barcelona Gem

February 28, 2017

A decade ago I spent a little time studying abroad in Spain. My home base was San Sebastian but we scampered off on the weekends to nearby towns soaking in the history and culture. I loved every second of it, especially jaunt we had in Barcelona. I was mesmerized by all the architecture, history, trails of Picasso everywhere and the blend of beach and city life. We partied in the most amazing nightclubs I’ve ever been to (to this day) and slipped right into that Mediterranean pace of life. I vowed to return at the time but over the years it fell off my radar.

And then I got this email about Hotel El Palauet (or “Little Palace in Catalan) a boutique hotel that’s home to only six stunning 2-bedroom suites inside a landmark building in the heart of Barcelona. Built with the utmost attention to detail in design and service, the unique gem has quickly become a hot spot for luxury travelers seeking a true home away from home in bustling Barcelona. Yes, please.

Two-bedroom suites boast a minimal, luxe vibe that I can’t get enough of. They’re modern but with a strong sense of history in the bones. I poured over these images and couldn’t help but share.
