When it comes down to it, there is only so much that beauty products and makeup can do for your skin. What I’ve learned throughout the years is that there’s a lot that plays into how our skin looks and feels. The way we eat, sleep, sweat and drink has a direct effect on our skin and overall well being—old news of course, but I need a constant refresher course from time to time. First and foremost, sleep. Everyone is different of course, but boy do I need my 8 hours. I have dry skin to begin with so any lack of sleep spirals into a dry, dull complexion, not to mention feeling crummy overall. Good sleep equals a healthy glow. So when 9 o’clock rolls around I try to finish up my work, put away my phone and computer and slip into bed with a book. I also love spritzing the sheets with a little lavender spray to help wind down even more. Sleeping tip: be sure to switch out your pillow cases often.
