Try This Layering Trick

November 2, 2017

Reason number 25 for Fall being a stellar season, you can finally layer. Sometimes getting dressed can be ten times more fun and creative when your not trying to beat the heat or survive freezing cold temps—the latter is not my friend. Plus here on the West Coast, it’s about the closest we get to an actual “season” when we need a sweater.

There are endless ways to layer up for Fall but one trick in particular I’ve found to be the best for utilizing all those summer dresses—no matter how white and summery they are. Step 1: grab one of your favorite dresses, I say go super long or short above the knee. Step 2: Grab an oversized knit sweater, the more volume the better in this case. Step 3: Choose your shoes wisely. If you’re dress is light and airy ground it with some black boots. If you’re going for a more feminine vibe, incorporate a texture like velvet or fur—loving this navy Loeffler Randall heel.
