Friday List 8.16

August 16, 2019

With August winding down, I’ve been getting excited about the start of a new season. I’m all about fresh beginnings and Fall is the ultimate reset after the whirlwind of summer. Aside from getting Elin organized for her last year of pre-school (cue the tears from mom), I’ve also been having a field day getting myself a few essentials to start September with. Can you smell the freshly sharpened pencils? I love all those Fall feels.

1.

While browsing some new pieces over on Mytheresa, I discovered a new clothing line I’m obsessed with and the prices are super reasonable for that high-end look. It’s called BAUM UND PFERDGARTEN. With that said I’ve had a serious case of a shopping bug with Fall on my mind. I had to share some favorite pieces that I’m coveting at the moment.

2.

This week I had two nights of sleeping horribly. I blame my addiction to that show What If—watching something suspenseful before bedtime notoriously makes for a night of tossing and turning. So to get myself back on track I practiced some discipline and stayed away from screens after 8 pm, took a bath with my new True Botanicals CBD bath soak, rubbed some lavender oil on my chest and called it a night. Do you guys use any CBD products? I’m become a true believer after using this limited edition product from True Botanicals. Definitely snag some while they still have it! It’s SO good.

3.

As I mentioned, I’ve been getting Elin ready for a new school year, and by getting ready I mean having some fun shopping (she doesn’t need much for pre-school), so I picked a few things up for myself as well to kick off the new season. If you love beautiful planners, organizers and notebooks as much as I do, then you’re going to be obsessed with Appointed. I ordered a few things like the task pad that I can’t wait to set up on my desk. Here’s to getting organized in style.

4.

Have you guys seen the new Sarah Sherman Samuel and Lulu and Georgia collaboration of rugs and pillows? It’s beyond. We got the Moroccan Flatweave rug and it’s giving me all the motivation to finish styling our family room—which needs some serious help.

5.

I’ve been arming my skin with tons of moisture in anticipation of that Fall dry skin I get every year. My current favorites are the Skin Soak Rich Moisturizer and the Brightening Serum from the new non-toxic beauty line called Versed. It’s seriously good and easy on your pocket book.

6.

It’s no secret that one of my all-time favorite brands is Dôen and they just recently opened their first retail store in the Brentwood Mart. I’ve only seen pictures of the insanely beautiful space so I’m itching to get down to LA to spend a good 2 hours shopping in it.
