In the mountains behind Santa Barbara is a hidden gem of a restaurant/bar called Cold Spring Tavern. Once an old stagecoach stop in the 1800s, the cozy little log cabin is tucked away in a ravine off of Highway 154 and it truly feels as if you’ve stepped back in time—nothing has changed. We stopped by on Sunday, when they have live music, and sat by the old stone fireplace and had shandys (7up and light beer) and one of their famous tri-tips sandwiches.
