For days that grow uncomfortably hot, I always crave a refreshing, cold cocktail that takes the edge off a bit. I came home yesterday to a stuffy, air-conditionless house that I couldn’t stand to sit in so I wrangled up ingredients for this whisky drink. After some crushing, shaking and taste testing, I grabbed a magazine and set up shop in a shady spot in the yard to cool off. I’ve never had the touch when mixing drinks, but I have to say (not to toot my own horn) I may have nailed it this time. I used this recipe but added extra lemon juice and fresh strawberries.
