Ever since I heard of the concept “blow dry bar” I’ve been wishing and hoping for one to open in Santa Barbara. It’s such a simple luxury with a small price tag ($35) and big reward, especially when you can sip a mimosa, have a mini cupcake and, most importantly, relax. Shine Blow Dry Bar recently opened in Santa Barbara and I raced to make an appointment. My experience? True bliss and an incredibly soft, bouncy blow out. Besides being utterly pampered I was smitten with the interiors—crystal chandeliers, heavenly shades of blue, marble countertops and glassware with the signature Shine star on them. I couldn’t think of a better place to start off a girls day with friends or just treat myself. I can already tell I’m going to be a regular at this spot!
