Homemade Almond Joys from Sophistimom.
As a kid, my favorite part about Halloween was coming home and dumping my entire bag of candy on the floor to sort and trade with my fellow trick-or-treaters. Everyone had the same “first favorite” which was Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, but the rest seemed to vary so there was always some serious Halloween negotiations that always followed. Chocolate was always, and will always, be my weakness so naturally my top five were always Reese’s, Almond Joys, Twix, Butterfingers and Peppermint Patties. This Halloween I plan on cooking up one of these fancy homemade versions and sharing, not hoarding, my candy.
