It was nearly two years ago when I was first introduced to my friend and handbag designer Emily Rosendahl. You may have remembered this clutch that she custom made for me and my sisters from an old Springbok hide my dad had. It became a signature piece in my wardrobe and a hot commodity within her collection so we went on to design a second clutch together, seen here. Aside from her amazing line of leather goods, Emily has an insanely enviable and stylish lifestyle. Living on a ranch in Summerland, California she wakes up to a stunning view of rolling hills and a sparkling ocean that’s mere minutes away. With lots of land, hiking trails, and horses at her disposal she stays true to her Jackson Hole, Wyoming roots while hand-making her western influenced creations in her studio on the property. I find excuses to stop by and say hi while parking myself on her deck, which feels like a mini vacation in itself.
When it comes to giving gifts I’m a huge fan of things that come with a story. Emily’s bags are not only incredibly cool but the vibe and vision behind the brand make them even more special. Each one is hand-crafted and created at her home studio that can only be described as a little slice of heaven. So (drumroll) to kick off the Holiday Give + Get series, Emily will be giving away two Virginian Clutches to one lucky winner and their friend. Enter below! Giveaway ends on 11/19. And if you’re too antsy to wait, here’s a 15% off code to use: CIHT. Code expires on 11/19.
Here are some shots from a recent visit to her digs.
