A good chunk of my early school years were spent in navy and plaid uniforms. At the time I loathed the print and found the deep blue shade to be boring and boyish. Now, I think quite the opposite. In fact I can easily say navy is one of my favorite colors that I consider a sophisticated neutral. The dreary plaid on the other hand I don’t miss, RIP itchy, stiff skirts. Transitioning into a new seasons always feels tricky at first. Lately I’ve found myself relying on the navy to mix and match with winter blacks, lighter nudes, denim favorites and pale pinks. I picked up this dress from Equipment that acts as the perfect base layer for blazers, coats or a simple statement necklace. It’s one of those finds that I know will be essential through every season.
Equipment dress, Joie coat, Saint Laurent Betty bag, Lulu Frost necklace, Ash booties, vintage Givenchy cuff, Anine Bing sunglasses, Jennifer Fisher bone ring.
