Spring Stride

April 3, 2014

Spring StrideLately my modus operandi for spring dressing has been pretty simple: wearing what feels right. Since the weather has been unpredictable, true to this season’s form, rolling with the temperatures seems to be the determining factor. Most days I reach for flowy or sheer finds paired with a heavier layer for when that spring breeze kicks in. But without fail, whether I’m headed to a luncheon/shower or out and about for daytime meetings, I’ve been heavily relying on a leather jacket. It’s the one thing every season that never lets me down and proves to be worth every penny. I recently scored this Rachel Zoe one on Piperlime while browsing their recent sale (25% off new spring arrivals!) that’s going on now through 4/6. If you’re on the hunt for some essentials be sure to check it out, just enter SPRING at checkout.

Here are two looks, plus a few sale favorites I picked out to share with all of you.

Spring StrideFor a day of meetings and errands I slipped on what I consider the perfect springtime uniform: a simple tee, perfectly fitted light washed jeans, killer heels and a leather jacket.

It’s exactly the way I’ve always liked to shop. Here are some of my picks from one of my favorite shopping destinations. Naturally this leather jacket is at the top of my list. Spring StrideGeometric earrings from House of Harlow: Midas earrings and Athena’s Sheild earringsSpring StrideA subtle gold necklace is forever something I reach for. I loved this simple Mosaic one. Spring StrideWith the arrival of Spring comes a flood of invites for different luncheons, showers, weddings and parties. Something I won’t deny, I love a good celebration. I always try and stock up on pieces that can be easily dressed up or dressed down. This easy shift dress by French Connection does just that. Plus I love how wispy and thin it is.

Last Spring StrideLast but not least the ultimate essential: nude heels. I love this pair from Schutz because it has the sweetest scalloped edging along the top. A lighter touch for a lighter season.
