June and July are the most romantic months in my book. There’s no real explanation other than I met my husband in June and married him (years later) in July, and of course the warm temperatures and sweet summer nights add to the charm. This week we’ll be hopping on a plane to Hawaii for a week on the island of Lanai in celebration of two major things: our one-year anniversary and a baby on the way. I can’t think of a better reason to fly and flop somewhere together. Here’s a look at some things I’m taking with me and my fancy new travel gear.

New Valia Gabriel sandals I plan on doing some serious island roaming in. I’ve been complaining on recent trips that I needed to update my travel style, particularly in the luggage department.
