Summer Beauty Essentials

Being a beach-bred California girl and all, it’s in my DNA to be a sun worshipper. I think I was collecting bikinis before anything else in my wardrobe. So when Summer rolls around, I definitely find myself in my element and of course finding the nearest pool or beach. Over the last month I’ve come across a few beauty finds that I think hit all the important notes when it comes to Summer beauty musts. Here’s a look at 7 recent finds that I highly suggest picking up as the days grow warmer.

Moroccan Oil Sunscreen SPF 50 and Sun Oil: Sun protection is the number one rule when it comes to Summer beauty. I stock up and keep bottles all over so I have no excuses. One of my favorite brands Moroccan Oil now makes sunscreen and it smells like a dream! I can’t get enough of it and the feel is incredibly moisturizing. But really it’s the smell, sunscreen/perfume if you ask me.
Next on the list is shine control. I’m always looking for great foundations to cover me up without the shine and or course being too heavy. I love a simple lip, the Bobbi Brown Crystal Lip Gloss gives a wet look while Shiseido Lip SPF keeps you protected. Since summer usually means having a tan, I ditch the bronzer and go straight for a touch of cheek color. I go back and forth between these two which go perfectly with a tan—Nars Blush in Orgasm and Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for lips and cheeks. Lastly Bobbi Brown’s Extra Soothing Balm is one of those use everywhere products. I’ve been adding it on my cheeks for a dewy final touch and my hands, elbows and cuticles. Summer can be drying so this little miracle jar is great to have at all times.
