My Hamptons dream vacation became a reality when we checked into our Kid & Coe house in East Hampton. I spent the first half hour running around like a kid on Christmas checking out the amazing pool, light filled rooms and expansive game room in the basement complete with a basketball court—yep, you heard me right, game of horse? I felt like I was stepping straight into a Nancy Meyers film, which was just how I envisioned our East Coast escape playing out.
This is the second time we have used Kid & Coe and I have to say it’s one of the first tips I pass on to anyone who is traveling with kids. It makes a world of a difference to enjoy a vacation when the environment is already catering to your needs, whether its a toddler fork or a bath tub. This spot had endless options for entertainment and made it incredibly easy to soak in the sun while Elin napped.
Wearing a LoveShackFancy dress in one of my favorite spots in the house—an outdoor lounge/tv room. There’s just something I love about the warm East Coast nights…
One thing I loved about the house was how close we were to downtown East Hampton. A quick 10 minute walk and we were right in the mix of everything. Side note, the shopping there is real good. I snuck into Zimmermann, ATM, Intermix, RRL, Figure, Eres, Ralph Lauren, J.Crew and Roberta Roller Rabbit. Elin may have caught on to my habits. I packed every easy white summer dress I owned and paired it with simple sandals and this Loeffler Randall tote that is one of my favorite things in my wardrobe at the moment.
Insider tip: From Thursday June 23 through Sunday June 26, over 150 properties are offering discounts of up to 60% off their typical rates on Kid & Coe. Book a panoramic alpine apartment in Switzerland or a Provencal family home in St Remy de Provence, to name a couple of favorites. Visit www.kidandcoe.com before Sunday to find your perfect stay at a one-off discount rate. This is a great chance to book a summer getaway if you haven’t had the chance yet.
