Navy in July

I picked up this dress from a favorite stop here in Santa Barbara, Diani Boutique, and have found myself relying on it for days that require a bit of elegance with a modern twist. Navy is one of those colors that I never hesitate to wear year-round, there’s something undeniably classic about it that makes it a basic for any season, even in July. Now the shape, that’s what I’ve been most excited about—scratch that, I need it in every color it comes in. The front is simple and sophisticated but the cape-like open back adds an element that is unexpected and incredibly cool. This was the first time I’d come across the designer, Kaarem, and needless to say I’ve been stalking a few other styles from the brand, see below.
