When we first arrived to Tahoe, we basically dropped our things at our rental home (check it out here) and booked it to the nearest beach since it was so hot. We couldn’t contain ourselves we were so excited to explore. Having never spent much time there, other than some distant childhood memories, I was eager to check it all out. So we drove to the beach that seemed like the place to start, Sand Harbor. The drive there had me on the edge of my seat. The road winds around the edge of the lake and just about every cove looks like a picture perfect scene with clear turquoise water and giant rocks. It was hard not to stop.
