Bits and tips: bon voyage

passports
This week as been all about getting ourselves organized for a 3-week long adventure to…. AUSTRALIA and NEW ZEALAND! We booked our tickets ages ago and I still can’t believe its already here. It’s one of those destinations that I’ve always dreamed about checking out and so when my family mentioned they were heading down there, we decided to jump on board—which will also make for some hilarious snaps, stay tuned. I’ve been full of excitement and a dose of angst over what to pack. Our itinerary takes us to a variety of weather possibilities and we’ll be getting a bit of everything which makes the packing list rather long. We’ll need everything from rain boots and parkas to bikinis and sandals—I can hear the second suitcase rolling in right now. Anyways, the passports are updated (phew! step one) and we’re slowly getting all of our ducks in a row for take off. I can’t wait to share all the fun updates, experiences and tips (hello 14-hour flight with a toddler) from the adventure with all of you. And please oh please share any must-do/see things if you know the countries.

Here are some other highlights from our week…

could i have that ulna johnsonI dashed down to L.A. to catch the Ulla Johnson presentation. I wore this dress (available soon!) and got more compliments than I’ve gotten all year! Apparently it’s my color.

folded hills ranchWe finally made it to the pumpkin patch at our favorite Folded Hills Ranch. If you’re ever in Santa Ynez you must swing by this little farm stand, which has fresh produce, farm animals to visit and the best rice crispy treats ever. I never knew how obsessed I was until I had one of theirs.

pony rideThe Folded Hills Farm Stand also had pony rides this weekend for the kids. It was Elin’s first time on a horse and boy was it cute. She made it on without a flinch of hesitation and took the whole experience pretty seriously. We’re still talking about Egg Nog, the pretty pony.

ciht-mini-holiday-teaseYou may have caught this on Instagram and Snapchat (couldihavethat), but we’re already getting started on the next Could I Have That? Mini (Holiday) Magazine. Can’t wait to share a giant gift guide, fun DIY ideas for the Holidays and a whole new round of Cool Moms who are currently inspiring us. Debuting early December.
