As much as I love the surprise of opening a gift and receiving something amazing, nothing tops the fun of shopping, giving and watching someone you love open something you’ve secretly wrapped up for them. It truly is the best part of the holiday season if you ask me. So when HP offered to help me #ReinventGiving and spoil someone in my life who might freak out over the new Spectre x360, I knew exactly who I wanted to give it to.
Being the youngest of four I’ve always had the advantage of looking up to my three siblings doing, creating, making mistakes and finding their place in this world. I’ve learned from their paths more than they probably know. My oldest sister happens to be the wittiest, most talented writer that I know. Ever since I was little I’d repeat her jokes, stories and songs (that she’d make up) so it was no surprise that she got to work one day putting it all on paper, scripts to be exact. For a while she was churning them out, taking back-to-back meetings and finding her name printed in the Hollywood Reporter. But as life does, she steered in a new direction and started finding inspiration in new places doing different things. All the while confessing that her passion to write wasn’t dead, just taking a break.
But what’s a writer to do with an old, slow and archaic desktop? Ding ding! So, while she has been my biggest cheerleader over the years I’m planning to return the favor and be hers, starting with a brand spankin new Spectre x360 laptop. I can only imagine the magic that she’ll create on this sleek looking computer and am giddy about her unwrapping it. I plan on sharing the whole reveal on my instagram stories!
