At the start of each season I do a once over on my wardrobe and filter out all the things that I’m not wearing. Some pieces are stored and some are donated. In all honesty, I don’t have much space (still dreaming of that walk-in closet!) so I have to keep things fairly edited most of the time. As much as I do this seasonal sweep, its kind of amazing the things that are mainstays throughout each quarter, year after year. I have a Raquel Allegra dress (seen here and here) that I’ve found ways to style year-round. It’s been at least 4 years and still, by far, one of my favorite pieces. Raquel Allegra has a way of creating incredibly airy, feminine pieces that somehow move with just a breath of wind. It’s safe to say she’s among my top five favorite designers.
When I discovered this silky, classic dress at Diani Boutique, I knew it would have a place in my closet. We’ve had some hot and cold days lately and it’s turned out to be the most versatile piece to pair with long coats or even oversized sweaters. Wearing it here with a vintage coat that belonged to my grandmother.

On another note, this Thursday 3/9 I’ll be hosting an event with Goldsign denim at Diani in Santa Barbara (1324 State Street) from 11 am – 3 pm. Stop by and shop the newly relaunched collection with me, and yes there will be champagne. Hope to see you there!
