The Spring Glow

March 7, 2017

I’m all about the idea that “less is more,” especially when it comes to everyday makeup. My time is limited in the morning so I stick to a pretty simple routine that I make subtle changes to once in a while. Lately I’ve been loving a touch of pink and shine to brighten up my pale skin as we move into spring. Here’s how I’ve been creating a flushed spring glow.

Glossier. Priming Moisturizer—After cleansing and exfoliating I start with this moisturizing primer. It’s buildable so you can add more/less depending on how dewy you want to go.

Glossier. Haloscope Highlighter—This is one of my favorite highlighters because it adds just enough shine in a natural way. You get that soft glow without it being too shimmery or overbearing. It also has a creamy texture which makes it easy to blend.

RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek Mineral Color—A new clean beauty favorite, this blush is amazing. It has the best texture for smudging and can also be used on your lips. I’ve been dabbing this on the apples of my cheeks and blending up towards my cheekbones. I top with a little more Glossier priming moisturizer for a fresh, dewy look.

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Belle Du Jour and/or Bolero—Lastly I top with a soft nude or bright coral lip color. The new matte lip pencils by Nars are so good I can’t get enough. I’ve been mixing these two colors and wearing them on their own.
