Caffeine Break At Helena Bakery

July 11, 2017

I know they say you shouldn’t cave for caffeine and sugar as an afternoon pick-me-up but every once in a while, I’m pretty sure we deserve it. Especially when a giant frosted cinnamon roll the size of your face is staring at you—me, 1, will power, 0. Which brings my to my latest Santa Barbara tip, Helena Avenue Bakery. Aside from my current favorite cold brew, the stylish hideaway cooks up the best baked goods around—donuts, rosemary bread, perfectly crunchy muffin tops and more. I’ve been heading there a lot lately for lunch dates, meetings and hans solo sugar/caffeine afternoon missions and can’t get enough of the laid back ambiance and industrial decor. It’s in the heart of a booming neighborhood of wineries, restaurants, hotels, boutiques and more making it an even better destination when it comes to weekend crawling.
I mean, just look at the quality frosting on this puppy…On a style note, I just discovered By Johnny, an Australian line full of feminine, cool pieces. I’ve been living in this tie sleeve tee that has a structure to it that I love. It’s a top that you can easily pair with jeans or dress it up with a skirt and heels. The little bows caught my attention right away—trés chic. Wearing with: The Row heels, Oliver Peoples sunglasses, Mother Denim jeans Five more favorites from  By Johnny…
