The Summer Blouse I Can’t Stop Wearing

July 26, 2017

The ongoing theme these past couple of weeks as been surviving in the heat. Between traveling to New York, where it was crazy humid, to some serious sunshine in California, I’ve been reaching for the breeziest tops I own to get me through these 80 degree (or more) days. I picked up this Dôen top that is billowy and perfect for a hot day and feels like Summer. The roomy fit made it perfect for those sweltering New York days and some Dough Donuts—it’s all about the blood orange flavor.

I’m digressing, back to white summery tops. The two things I look for in my breezy favorites? Fit for starters is most important. Depending on how you plan on styling them, whether it’s tucked into high waisted jeans or layered with some tailored shorts, make sure it fits your body right. White pieces have a tendency of magnifying fit flaws. Second, it’s all about the shape and details. I have no will power when it comes to thoughtful pleats or an interesting neckline. It’s what I look for most in a white blouse.

Wearing: Mother Denim jeans, Dôen top, Oliver Peoples sunglasses, Valia Gabriel sandals, The Little Market Tote bag, Ariel Gordon Fatty Ring, Jennifer Fisher cuff.
More white blouses I’ve been eyeing…
