You know when you find something you really love that just works perfectly on your frame and in your lifestyle? Well, that seems to happen to me all. the. time. when I get a new Dôen piece. This top has slid into first place in my wardrobe and I’m feeling the need to own it in every color. The delicate, feminine shape with puffy shoulders makes it a subtle statement with denim—relaxed yet refined.
After wearing this top consecutively for (I’m too embarrassed to admit, don’t judge) a chunk of time, I decided I needed to revisit my favorite destination, Dôen, again. Turns out they recently added some new styles and—hold me down—I
want need it all. Blousy ruffled tops like The Geranium top and The Carnation dress that embodies the most perfect fall print you could dream up.
While I’m happily soaking in the tail end of summer, I’ve been loving pieces like this one that suggest a more Indian Summer vibe.
Aside from throwing on a pair of favorite jeans with my Dôen top, something about this Janessa Leone hat with the puffed shoulders feels like a perfect match. They both seem to have an understated nod to the past, which I like. Jewelry shown above: Jennifer Fisher cuff, Ariel Gordon bracelet, Jane Pope ring and cuff.
These Paige jeans have just enough flare, just enough distressing and just enough detail to make them stand out with out competing with a sweet top.
Footwear is the easiest way to transition your wardrobe into fall. While I am in California and wear sandals almost year-round, picking the right pieces to wear them with can make your look season appropriate. I live in my Valia Gabriel sandals. Photography by Jacqueline Pilar.
