Winter White in Sun Valley

Nothing inspires my wardrobe more than a getaway on the horizon, especially when it involves the complete opposite climate than my home base. So when we bought our tickets for Sun Valley at the start of Fall I had plenty of time to shop and mull over what I was going to bring. To me there’s nothing cooler than a white moment in the snow—even if it’s a little bit of snow, as we didn’t get a ton—so I started gravitating towards white accessories, oversized parkas and knits. Here are the key white (or I should say “light”) pieces I depended on during our stay.

The Perfect White Puffer

The one I’m wearing here is by Zara and is sadly sold out. I was kind of obsessed with how oversized and warm it was, especially on frigid days. But here are some similar finds.

White (Or Light) Knits

Mountain living aside, I’m STILL wearing this oversized roll neck sweater from Zara even in California. It was the perfect light layer under a white puffer and is surprisingly quite warm. Here at home I’ve been cozied up in it over leggings with sneakers, my new uniform, more on that later.

White Sunglasses

I kept coming across images from the 60’s and 70’s of skiers in tight ski suits and light framed sunglasses. And then I decided I desperately needed a pair for this trip. Sure enough I wore these Illesteva Boca ones the entire time. Side note, white sunglasses are actually pretty hard to hunt down. I rounded up some favorites here.
