We have a family wedding coming up in Big Sur and I am counting down the days, so much so I actually already found the perfect dress. Actually, one of those things where it might have just found me. It also got me thinking, what are the options if you’re heading to a fall/Indian Summer wedding? Here are some of the ideas that crossed my mind while shopping for our upcoming event.
Leopard
I actually grabbed this Ganni dress because it’s such a trend at the moment. You can bet that any animal print will translate well for a fall wedding, but leopard/cheetah especially is having a moment. I personally love leopard for fall because of the color tones—those warm brown tones are the perfect autumn palette.
Marigold
Since Fall weddings can still be warm and sunny (love those days!) I love this happy shade because it’s that perfect transition color from summer to fall. And it totally reminds me of the light at the end of a fall day.
Navy
Personally I like to save black for the holidays and it always feels a bit too harsh when the sun is still warm and inviting. Navy is a softer approach and still pairs well with black accessories. If you’re going for a minimal chic look dress this color up with a bold earring or stacked gold jewelry.
