What I Wore In Palm Springs

May 28, 2019

Deciding to run off to Palm Springs for the long weekend was the best decision ever. It was cold and rainy at home (seriously though, what is with this cold California May weather?) and we had the best time at Parker Palm Springs. And since I was so excited about being in the heat and wearing some of my newest summery pieces, I wanted to share my outfits that you may have caught on Instagram. And a few others that I packed and wore like crazy.

Afternoon Lounging

Pictured Above; It’s been almost 5 years since we stayed at Parker Palm Springs, the last time I was very pregnant with Elin and we had a room upstairs. This time our room was in the North building and we had the greatest patio outside that opened up into a garden. So we did quite a bit of lounging in the late afternoon sun. I lived in coverups like this one by Marysia. My number one accessory is always a good Janessa Leoné hat and I love some gold charm necklaces with a fresh tan—the one I wore all weekend was by Zoë Chicco.

Mornings With Norma’s Donuts

One thing I always make sure to do while in Palm Springs is breakfast at Norma’s because they have the most amazing donut holes with a side of lemon curd and raspberry jam and it’s pure heaven if you ask me. So naturally I had to choose a dress with a little, you know, room. I have been living in this Sézane dress and brought along a few other favorite white pieces.

Poolside

I’ve been craving the desert heat for so long so we didn’t do much but lounge, sit in the sun, eat and repeat. It was so what I needed. Plus since we haven’t had very many bikini-weather days in Santa Barbara, I was super excited to pull out some new things I haven’t had a chance to wear and use—including the new Beautycounter sunscreen.

Dressed and Ready for Dinner

I kept it pretty casual during our entire stay and never once but on the kitten heel shoes I brought, not even for dinner. These sandals are by Valia Gabriel (order by email [email protected]). I brought a handful of pretty Dôen dresses because they’re perfect for warm nights or even thrown over a bathing suit. This one is from their Summer collection that debuted last week.

Lemonade Date with Elin

When Todd and I came here 5 years ago, we took the sweetest photos by the lemonade stand at the Parker with my giant belly. They’re some of my all time favorites during those 9 months. The thing I craved the most when I was pregnant with Elin was fresh squeezed lemonade and now it’s one of her favorite things—no surprise there! So naturally we had to have a lemonade date together. For Love and Lemons sent us the sweetest matching yellow dresses to wear on our trip. Here are some more favorites we packed for Elin.

Hope you all had the best weekend!

xx Sam
