Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: My Picks

August 11, 2020

Is it just me or has this year made anyone else a bit of a minimalist? With less happening on the agenda, more family time and focusing on what makes us feels good, it’s made me pull back and look at the things I really really need and love. So instead of giving you guys a giant categorized list of what to buy, I wanted to share a more edited/personal look at the things I’m excited about.

In case you’re scratching your head and thinking, what’s the deal with this Nordstrom sale? In a nut shell, certain new Fall arrivals from top brands are discounted for a short period of time and then go back up to the regular price on 8/30. The sale is open to card members before 8/13 and everyone else afterwards.

10 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks:

1.

If you ask me, the best place to start every year (especially heading into fall) is knitwear. Vince makes some of my favorite sweaters and they always have a handful included in the sale. I have at least three sweaters from past sales that I wear religiously to this day, best investment. The one I have my eye on this year is the V-Neck Nep Wool Blend Sweater in Grey. I love the speckled grey knit and roomy fit.

2.

Veja sneakers are some of my most worn kicks. I love the simple design, the fact that they’re made with recycled material and how comfortable they are. I also love the green shade that’s part of the sale this year.

3.

The hair product I’ve used straight for about 5 years now and can’t live without… Oribe Dry Shampoo. It gives my hair the best texture and I’m so excited it’s on sale along with an added product I’ve never tried Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray.

4.

Another knit, a little more budget friendly, is this Topshop Ribbed Open Front Cardigan. I love it in both black and Oat, two colors I would live in. It’s one of those pieces you would easily wear cozied up on the couch or styled with jeans for errands.

5.

This year we’ve spent more time going on walks and being outside, I’ve been looking for a good coat to wear as the weather cools off. I really love the length, color and style of this Thread & Supply Quilted jacket.

6.

On that same note, I’m torn between the previous option or this pricier salmon colored Patagonia puffer. There’s just something so happy about it! And Patagonia makes jackets that last and last.

7.

If there was ever a year to spoil yourself with some new loungewear/pj’s this is the one! I love how basic this Nordstrom Moonlight Dream set is and that the material is stretchy and soft.

8.

You guys know I love all things Dr. Sturm so I was super excited to see this trio set of serums. The Hyaluronic Serum is something I can’t live without and I’ve always wanted to try out the Night Serum so this one is definitely on my list.

9.

I *just* bought the Riki Light Mirror a month ago because my sister’s friend was raving about it. I was looking for a good vanity mirror to keep in my closet where there isn’t any natural light and did a ton of research before buying this one. I’ve been super impressed with it and swear people comment on my makeup more since I’ve been using it.

10.

One of my go-to brow brush pens has been this Anastasia Brow Wiz in soft brown and lord knows I need that brow gel right now!
