Gosh I love the sunshine. We’ve been having pretty decent Springtime weather in Santa Barbara and it’s been so fun to pull out shorts, summer dresses and sandals. I feel like I’m mentally ready for Summer and already wearing pieces I plan on living in over the next few months. Starting with the best straw tote bag that seems to work with every outfit, fit the season and hold all the necessities for me and the girls—you know there are some crushed puffs hanging out at the bottom.
One thing I have realized my wardrobe is lacking is shorts. I’m so particular about how they fit and the style. Above is an old pair by Free People so I recently picked up a couple other pairs with that similar vibe—L’Agence Hillary Paperbag Shorts, LVIR Cotton-Linen Blend Shorts.
I have a pretty impressive collection of sweaters, probably because I’m always cold, so a style trick I rely on transitioning into the warmer months is layering my favorite knits over breezy dresses. Some of my favorites here: Sevilla Nightgown (worn as a dress), Summer Dress, a basic cotton poplin button down and a sweet pleated dress with a posie print.
